FEES

 

Should you wish to claim a Medicare Rebate, a Mental Health Care Plan & a referral letter will be required from your GP PRIOR to your appointment with a Psychologist.

 

If following a consultation the GP assess you as qualifying for Medicare Rebates , it allows you to obtain Medicare Rebates for an initial 6 Individual Sessions of psychological treatment and counselling.

 

Upon completion of the initial 6 Individual sessions, and following a successful Re-Referral from your GP, you may be eligible to receive another 4 Sessions of individual psychological treatment. 

 

This means that you may be entitled to a total of 10 Individual sessions under the Medicare scheme per calendar year.

To obtain a Mental Health Care Plan referral, you will be required to make a longer appointment with your GP so please make note of this when booking your appointment with the GP. 

 

A mental health care plan does not entitle the patient to a free service, as this is a private service a gap fee applies.

Please fax your referrals to 8121 9253 Patients are required to contact me for an appointment.  I will inform GPs of the patients initial attendance and will provide  further updates as required.

Important Note*

Fees are payable at the time of service. Medicare require the fee to be paid in full  and then the  rebate can be returned electronically to your bank account. The rebate usually takes approximately 1-2 business days to process and appear in your account.  Feel free to ask any questions about this process by speaking with reception staff or the psychologist

Mental Health Care Plan holders​
Standard 50 minute session will cost $229.55.  You may be eligible receive a rebate from Medicare of $131.65 (meaning you will only pay a $93.20 gap for each session).

Private Clients (no GP referral)

You do not need a referral to see a psychologist as a private client. However a Mental Health Care Plan ad GP referral letter is helpful.

Workcover, 3rd party, DVA referrals also welcome (fees vary).

 

Cancellation Policy

Please give a minimum of 24 hours notice to change or cancel your appointment. This allows clients in need of an appointment to access our service. Please note I have a waitlist for appointments and less than 24 hours notice may incur a late cancellation fee. I am contactable via sms, phone, email if you need to change your appointment.
